Entrepreneurship on decline in America

Recent news reports that small businesses in America are facing a decline in growth. The ties to which the decline is involved in is the underlying job market trend.

The current trend for jobs includes an improving reduction in applications for unemployment that fell to 283,000 within the past weeks. Although there seems to be an improving market, the correlation of new jobs to people who need new jobs is not so positive.

To what is referred to as the "real unemployment rate", it is at over 11 percent. Through analyzing this fact, one can see that although the level of unemployment applications are down, there is no significant increase in new jobs to go along with it. This creates an imbalance and thus a problem for the job market. 

A factor in the current slow economic recovery is the decrease in new small business start ups and overall entrepreneurship in America. There is a major need for there to be a focus on improving this business sector, as it makes up two thirds of businesses in America and creates a net of two thirds of all new jobs in America. 

The current presidential candidates should take note of the economic problem as the race for the next president continues. There is an opportunity for presidential candidates to adopt this cause in saving and increasing entrepreneurship in America.

There is incentive to gain a lot of votes here; the small business community makes up a major chunk of voters. Additionally, the increasing racial minority, including entrepreneurs, have been valuable for an electoral win.
