Usig Promotional Materials Effectively in Your Business

The use of promotional materials in your business will not only help communicate what your brand represents to consumers, but it is also the messenger for all future customers. All thriving businesses continuously evolve and adapt their marketing techniques, including promotional materials. It is high priority to maintain your business in the eye of the public, because as they say, "out of sight is out of mind."
Promotional materials can consist of many things, but generally include the business logo and brand images in the following things:
      • Envelopes
      • Flyers
      • Letterhead
      • Business Cards
      • Business Materials (i.e, napkins, wrapping paper, boxes, etc)
      • Checks
      • Social Media Artwork
      • Business Miscellaneous Items (i.e., pens, notebooks, mugs, etc.)
Making sure the brand image and message is consistent through all channels is extremely vital. This is important in order to maximize credibility within your respective industry. Business that fail to communicate messages the same through out may seem untrustworthy and can potentially lose customers and credibility.

Consumer Adaption: Hispanic Market on the Rise

In the ever diversified American consumer market, the Hispanic population continues to grow and is on the road to establish itself as a powerful consumer market demographic. The Hispanic growth means that traditional marketing by US businesses must begin to adapt to different advertisement campaigns tailored to different demographics. Failure to communicate effectively with different demographics will result in lost market share.

Recent news from the Pew Research Center reports that about 56 percent of total US population growth over the past decade has been attributed to the Hispanic Community. Additionally, the purchasing power of this growing community has been estimated at an astounding $1.5 trillion. However, even with big dollar figures, businesses are lacking in targeting the Hispanic market.

Cultural adaption in marketing content for the Hispanic market is a must for future growth in US commerce.

Here are several points regarding this phenomenon:

·         Consumer Demand. The Hispanic market has growing buying power, which translates into business’s need to meet this demand. Additionally, increased marketing attention towards the Hispanic market is important to continue gaining market share.
·         Translation. Translation is very important; Hispanics prefer to shop in their own native language. A survey done by One Hour Translation with over 2000 clients reported that individuals were more likely to buy from a website in their native language. Additionally, it is also very cost effective to do so. Large U.S. enterprises include about 2.5 percent of their budget on non-native speaking marketing, and at the same time are reeling in approximately 50% annual revenue from this market. Including and increasing the budget for the Hispanic community is clearly without question a very good choice
·         Increased Sales & Revenue. A great example is Vallarta Supermarket who translated its web content into Spanish and provided discounts for foods catering to the Hispanic community. Its increased current success is attributed to this inclusive strategy.

Creating a Niche in Product Mix Creates a Positive Difference For Entreprenuers

For new entrepreneurs it is difficult to quickly attain credibility. To help distinguish the business, it is vital to create niche product mix.

The main idea behind creating a product niche is simple: differentiation. No matter what industry or sector you are trying to penetrate, most likely there are already a number of businesses operating within it.

Some tips to follow when starting out a product mix include:

  •          Do not create huge breadth in product line starting out
  •          Include less but more distinguishing products
  •          Do not launch new products on a consistent basis
  •         Focus on a few products with different price ranges. For example, a low, middle, and premium price range.
  •          Create and use a memorable logo for the best product recognition
  •          Analyze competitors and use similar but different concepts
  •          Continue doing what is "bringing in the bucks" in your business

As result of applying an effective product mix, the following can be achieved:

·         Community. A vibrant and connected community will be forged around your business. This community will then be one of the forces to push business and brand awareness, as well as using the most effective marketing technique: word of mouth.
·         Integrity. A good product line and brand will fairly represent the business across all channels. Consumers will be able to identify the brand and its core values.

·         Brand Authority. With a community of consumers and an increasing consumer base, there is room to develop credibility in the market. Credibility will create brand authority which translates into brand leadership, increase in demand, and business growth.

Entrepreneurship on decline in America

Recent news reports that small businesses in America are facing a decline in growth. The ties to which the decline is involved in is the underlying job market trend.
The current trend for jobs includes an improving reduction in applications for unemployment that fell to 283,000 within the past weeks. Although there seems to be an improving market, the correlation of new jobs to people who need new jobs is not so positive.

To what is referred to as the "real unemployment rate", it is at over 11 percent. Through analyzing this fact, one can see that although the level of unemployment applications are down, there is no significant increase in new jobs to go along with it. This creates an imbalance and thus a problem for the job market.
A factor in the current slow economic recovery is the decrease in new small business start ups and overall entrepreneurship in America. There is a major need for there to be a focus on improving this business sector, as it makes up two thirds of businesses in America and creates a net of two thirds of all new jobs in America.
The current presidential candidates should take note of the economic problem as the race for the next president continues. There is an opportunity for presidential candidates to adopt this cause in saving and increasing entrepreneurship in America.

There is incentive to gain a lot of votes here; the small business community makes up a major chunk of voters. Additionally, the increasing racial minority, including entrepreneurs, have been valuable for an electoral win.
