Creating a Niche in Product Mix Creates a Positive Difference For Entreprenuers

For new entrepreneurs it is difficult to quickly attain credibility. To help distinguish the business, it is vital to create niche product mix.

The main idea behind creating a product niche is simple: differentiation. No matter what industry or sector you are trying to penetrate, most likely there are already a number of businesses operating within it.

Some tips to follow when starting out a product mix include:

  •          Do not create huge breadth in product line starting out
  •          Include less but more distinguishing products
  •          Do not launch new products on a consistent basis
  •         Focus on a few products with different price ranges. For example, a low, middle, and premium price range.
  •          Create and use a memorable logo for the best product recognition
  •          Analyze competitors and use similar but different concepts
  •          Continue doing what is "bringing in the bucks" in your business


As result of applying an effective product mix, the following can be achieved:

·         Community. A vibrant and connected community will be forged around your business. This community will then be one of the forces to push business and brand awareness, as well as using the most effective marketing technique: word of mouth.
·         Integrity. A good product line and brand will fairly represent the business across all channels. Consumers will be able to identify the brand and its core values.

·         Brand Authority. With a community of consumers and an increasing consumer base, there is room to develop credibility in the market. Credibility will create brand authority which translates into brand leadership, increase in demand, and business growth.
