As a consultant to many past successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs, there is one thing that led each and every one of them to their fate as an entrepreneur: their ability to LISTEN. Now you may ask yourself, "well... can it be that simple?" To answer your juicy question: YES and NO.

The problem with many people who claim to be entrepreneurs is the failure to listen to the orchestration of an ever changing business world. But not to get it twisted: an avid listener goes far beyond that just capturing sounds into our ear lobes. An avid listener can use any of the other senses and still be able to "listen" and capture what was trying to be said through that medium.
Say you read a newspaper article on failing sole proprietorship. You must "listen" to what was trying to be said and retain what you heard and apply it to your own self in order not to commit the same mistakes. A good listener receives the message, reflects on it, and decides how it will use the information to change or remain the same.
